Simon Robson


Knife Party is the directorial work of Simon Robson, a British director currently residing in Sydney, Australia and is creative director at Engine. Simon's unique style of animation and live-action work has been commissioned by advertising agencies world wide, including W+K London, 180 Amsterdam, McCann Erickson Sydney and DDB Sydney. In 2011, Simon's work for the SBS serial documentary 'Immigration Nation' won 2 ProMax BDA World Golds, one for animation. MasterCard - Birds of Tokyo won a Bronze in the production design category at Adfest in 2012.

Simon is also the director of two hugely influential short films; What Barry Says and Coalition of the Willing. Both films have played at festivals throughout the world, including The Ottawa International Animation Festival, The Edinburgh Film Festival and onedotzero. The films have picked up best animation awards at The Brooklyn international film festival, The London Portobello Film Festival, Flickerfest, Animatron at The Hamptons and The San Francisco Green Film Festival.
