Film Screening and Book Presentation
The cycle concludes with a screening of Viatge a la llum (Journey to the Light), a first audiovisual interpretation by Alessandro Quaranta and Barbara Held, developed from Illuminations. The Experience of Light, the unfinished research project that Toni Serra *) Abu Ali carried out in Iran.
Through this screening, the session invites audiences to enter a universe of reflections that continue to act as catalysts for critical, plural, and free-thinking perspectives.
The event will also feature the presentation of the book Abrir la Visión: El legado de Toni Serra *) Abu Ali, which brings together texts by collaborators, accomplices, and friends. The publication traces a vital and aesthetic journey connecting late-1980s Barcelona, 1990s New York, and early-2000s Marrakech. The book has been coordinated and edited by Palmar Álvarez-Blanco and Gabriel Villota, and includes illustrations by Miguel Brieva, which accompany this journey and provide it with a symbolic and intimate dimension. The book has been published by La Vorágine and distributed by Virus Editorial.
