Liana Badr is a Palestinian writer of novels, short stories and children’s literature, journalist, poet and cinema director. Born in Jerusalem, Ms. Badr has lived since the 1967 war in Amman, Beirut, Damascus and Tunis. She returned to the Palestinian Authority areas after the signing of the Oslo agreement, and is now the director of the audiovisual division in the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
