This promotional documentary shows the full process of the banana industry in Central America: from the deforestation of virgin jungles and the establishment of plantations, to the export of the fruit to U.S. markets.
The film was part of a public relations campaign sponsored by the United Fruit Company (Chiquita), aimed at reviving banana consumption in the U.S. after a drop in sales during the Great Depression. It includes an animation that highlights the health benefits of eating bananas.
