United States of America
The Jam Handy Organization was a film production soundstage from the 1930s to the 1960s. The company specialized in industrial films, filmstrips, and other audiovisual aids. It was established in the early 1920s by Olympic swimmer Jamison Handy, who is remembered for developing the filmstrip medium and creating industrial and training films for General Motors and the United States Armed Forces. Today, the building is one of the few remaining relics of the Jam Handy Organization and serves as a reminder of Detroit's once-thriving film industry.
