Ayelet is an award-winning Israeli film director, producer, writer, andeditor. Her work includes feature films, documentaries, commercials, and musicvideos.Menahemi attended Beit Zvi School of Stage and Cinematic Arts, graduating withhonors in 1985. In 1986 she directed the award-winning short Crows, followed by twofeature films, The Skipper 3 (1991) and Tel Aviv Stories (1992).
In 1995, she funded the production company Karuna Films Ltd together Eilona Ariel. Since then she has produced and co-directed several documentaries, among them the award winning Doing Time, Doing Vipassana (1997). Her third feature filmwas Noodle (2007), winner of the the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Montreal FilmFestival. A television drama series she directed for Israel’s channel 2 is scheduled to be aired in 2016.
