Graduated in Communication Sciences and cinema (FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and received a Master in Documentary of Creation (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona). She has been based in Barcelona since 2001.
Her last film, Tiempos de Deseo (2020), had its premiere at L’Alternativa Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona and at Doclisboa International Film Festival. Her first film, A Casa Que Eu Quero (2010, co-directed with Joana Frazão), a production of Terratreme Filmes (Lisbon) was selected to represent Portugal in DocEuropa II and screened at États Généraux du Film Documentaire, Lussas – France; Panorama – Muestra de Documental Portugués; and Retrospectiva de Cinema Portugués, Warsaw – Poland, among others. In 2016 she directed the documentary Arreta (co-directed with María Zafra), which premiered at the Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones de Barcelona and was selected for the Festival de Cine Documental Alcances, l’Alternativa – Festival de Cine Independiente de Barcelona, Festival Márgenes, Festival Zinegoak (Premio Lesbianismo y Género), Festival Cinespaña Toulouse, etc.
She made several short films, such as O Peso do Horizonte (made at the Research Residency Filmar a Paisagem, Azores, 2011), F(r)icciones entre el trabajo y la vida (a production Soy Cámara-CCCB, 2017) and Vecines (a production Laboratorio Reversible).
Founding member of the Association of film experimentation in Analog Cinema, Laboratorio Reversible (Barcelona, 2014), she is part of the content team of the Audiovisual Media Promoter Cooperativa, Drac Màgic (Barcelona) and she has specialized in film education and audiovisual culture with a feminist perspective.
