Videohackers is an audiovisual collective based in Valencia, Spain, known for its strong commitment to social rights, land defense, and historical memory. Founded in the mid-1990s, the group produces documentaries and multimedia works that focus on current political and social issues, particularly those related to neighborhood movements, urban conflicts, and grassroots resistance.

The members of Videohackers have collaborated closely with social movements and local organizations across the metropolitan area of Valencia. Their productions aim not only to inform but also to raise awareness and mobilize the public. Through their documentaries, they have given voice to communities affected by speculative urban projects, such as the expansion of the Port of Valencia, highlighting stories of resistance in marginalized neighborhoods and threatened territories.

One of their most recognized works is A Tornallom (2005), a documentary that tells the story of the residents of La Punta, a rural district in the southern agricultural belt of Valencia, who resisted eviction from their homes to make way for the port’s logistics zone (ZAL). With a critical aesthetic and strong political engagement, Videohackers has become a key reference in socially and politically engaged documentary filmmaking in the Valencian Country and beyond.
